Assigning Proposals to Reviewers
Once your Reviewers and Custom Form are ready for use, the next step is to assign the reviewers to their designated proposals. By default, all reviewers are assigned to every proposal. However, Event Administrators can assign proposals manually or automate them using specific criteria.

Manually Assigning Proposals to Reviewers
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Proposals > Reviewers
- Select the Reviewer you would like to assign proposals to
Use the criteria outlined in the table below to control how proposals are matched with reviewers.
| Tracks | Use this field to assign proposals based on their designated Tracks to the reviewer. If one or more tracks are selected, then this reviewer will be limited to reviewing any proposal submissions which are related to the selected tracks. If no tracks are selected, the reviewer will have the ability to review all proposals. |

| Target Audiences | Use this field to assign proposals based on their designatedTarget Audiences to the reviewer. If one or more target audiences are selected, then this reviewer will be limited to reviewing any proposal submissions which are related to the selected target audiences. If no target audiences are selected, the reviewer will have the ability to review all proposals. |
| Calls | Use this field to assign proposals based on their designated Calls to the reviewer. If one or more calls are selected, then this reviewer will be limited to reviewing any proposal submissions which are related to the selected calls. |
| Proposals | Use this field to assign proposals directly to the reviewer. Any selections here will override any automated selections based on tracks. |
| Formats | Use this field to assign proposals based on their designated Formats to the Reviewer. |
Once you have configured the reviewer, select Save Changes to save your progress.
Automating Proposal Assignments
If you have not determined which proposals will be reviewed by reviewers, we recommend using our automated proposal assignments feature to automatically assign them.
Please note, when using this auto assign solution it should be mentioned that it will remove all previous proposals assigned to that reviewer. It will not remove any existing reviews from the reviewer.
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Proposals > Reviewers
- Select the reviewers you would like to adjust from the list
- To include all reviewers, simply leave the selection list blank.
- Above the reviewer table, select Actions > Auto Assign Proposals
- Toggle on the Accept checkbox after reviewing the notice
- Under the Select Calls, Tracks, Formats and Target Audience fields, you can segment proposals through these various fields
- Submissions will be included in the review list as long as they meet at least one of the specified criteria, including cases where multiple selections are made within a single field.
- Under the Reviewers Per Proposal field, enter the number of reviewers to be assigned to each proposal
- Select Save Changes
Conclusion
Proposals can be assigned to reviewers based on their Calls, Tracks, Formats, Target Audiences. Proposals only need to meet one of the chosen criteria to qualify for automatic assignment. This includes multiple selections within the same field. Proposals can also be assigned manually to Reviewers which will override any automatic selections.
