How Can I Edit Edit Social Previews for My Event Website?

Event Administrators can control how their Event Website appears when shared online through the Open Graph Configuration setting. This enhancement allows event organizers to edit the image, title, and description that display when a link to their event site—or any individual page within it—is entered on the browser’s search bar or shared on platforms like Facebook, X (formerly known as Twitter), or LinkedIn.

For example, when the sharable link is entered in the Search Bar, the results will appear below:

When the link is entered on Social Media, the Image, Title, and Description the results will appear below:

Configuring the Open Graph Configuration for the Event Website

To update the image that appears when sharing your entire event website on social media, follow these steps:

1. From the Event Website, navigate to Experiences > Website > Settings
2. Scroll down to Open Graph Configuration
3. Under the Image field, select Choose File to upload your image
4. Select Save Changes

The Copy Shareable Link button will now appear. Click it to copy the URL to your clipboard and share it on social media.

Configuring the Open Graph Configuration for Individual Pages

Not only can you update the main Event Website preview, but individual pages within the site can also have unique titles, descriptions, and images—perfect for promoting specific experiences, sessions, or speakers.

1. From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Experiences > Website > Pages
2. Select the page you wish to adjust from the list
3. Scroll down to Open Graph Configuration
4. Under the Title field, enter the title that will be displayed in search results and link previews
   1. We recommend aiming between 50-60 characters.
5. Under the Description field, enter the description that will be displayed below the title in search results and link previews
   1. We recommend aiming between 150-160 characters.
6. Under the Image field, select Choose File to upload your image
7. Select Save Changes

Once your settings have been updated, you can copy the shareable link by selecting Actions > Copy Shareable Link.
