Using the Event Feed Moderation Feature

The Event Feed Moderation feature is a tool that can be used for the event app on-site and the virtual event environment. It’s a powerful feature that lets you both approve and disapprove posts that are made to the event feed. As an event administrator, you have the autonomy to make edits to posts at your discretion.

Here are some tips that will help you understand the ins and outs of moderating your event’s feed!

1. Accessing, Editing and Approving Event Feed Posts

Event Feed posts are made within the Virtual Event portal lobby page as well as the Event Feed tab in the Mobile App. People can post in the Event Feed before, during and after the event like any common social media application. This is all controlled and confined under PheedLoop and the event your users are attending.

  1. From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Experiences > Networking > Feed
  2. Select the post you would like to adjust from the list
  3. In the post editor form, toggle on the Approved checkbox

2. Enabling Event Feed Moderation

As a default setting, events do not have Event Feed Moderation toggled on. Due to this, all posts are automatically approved. If you want to make sure it is on an approval basis, do the following:

  1. From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Experiences > Mobile App > Settings
  2. Toggle on the Enable App Event Feed Moderation checkbox
  3. To approve a post - you must toggle it on
    1. Typically a member of your team will be responsible for the approval process.

3. Downloading Event Feed Content

In the past, some customers wanted to re-examine their event’s success and access the event feed all in one motion. This is possible through the option to download all the Event Feed posts in bulk. To do so, here are the steps:

  1. From the Event Dashboard, navigate to to Experiences > Networking > Feed
  2. Above the feed table, select the downward arrow cloud icon on the top right hand side
  3. Enter into the excel sheet and download the image

If you wish to only grab an individual post, that can be done by doing the following:

  1. From the Event Dashboard, navigate to to Experiences > Networking > Feed
  2. Select the post you wish to download the image of
  3. On the image, right click and select Open Image in New Tab
  4. Navigate to the new tab in your browser
  5. Right click the image and select Save Image As...
  6. Save the image at your desired location such as the Downloads location

4. Violations

One of the ways attendees can contribute to moderation is with the Report button. If an inappropriate post is made on the Event Feed, attendees are able to flag the post to the Event Dashboard for a team member to review. If the post violates the terms and conditions of the event, it can be removed by toggling on the Approved checkbox under 1. Accessing, Editing and Approving Event Feed Posts.
