How to use Guest Purchase Tickets in Registration

PheedLoop’s Registration allows for further customization with the addition of guest purchases to your tickets. When it comes to purchasing registration and tickets, some customers do not want to provide an email address for a multitude of reasons. The guest purchase mode allows for a user to buy a ticket without needing to enter an email address or other information they may not feel comfortable sharing.

This usually happens when someone may be selling a registration ticket for their spouses, family, friends, and guests and thus the registrants may not want to submit their email address. Additionally, guest registration allows you to check in with PheedLoop’s badge printing system, where you can still print your badge.

How to Enable the Guest Purchases Feature

  1. In the Event Dashboard, navigate to Registration > Tickets
  2. Select an existing ticket you would like to adjust from the list or create one with the intention of adding guest registration
  3. In the ticket editor form, navigate to the Basic Details section and toggle on the Allow Guest Purchases checkbox

Transferring Guest Tickets

Transferring guest tickets is the same experience as transferring regular tickets.

  1. From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Registration > Orders
  2. Select the order with the guest ticket attached from the list
  3. In the order editor form, navigate to the Tickets section and select Actions beside the guest ticket purchase
  4. Select Transfer Purchase and transfer the ticket under a new email address, first name, and last name
    1. These three fields are required, the rest are optional for preference and further customization.

Limitations with Guest Purchases

  • Anything that requires a login (Mobile Event App or Virtual Event Portal), guests will not have access to these features.
  • Guests cannot manage their own schedule selection.
  • Guests cannot access attendee member portals because an attendee profile has not been created.
