How to Use Session Feedback Surveys in the Event App
One of PheedLoop's most popular features is the Feedback Survey in the Virtual Event App. Whether you want to collect information from your attendees, gather feedback on a particular session, gamify your event, or simply ask general questions, you can set up surveys to appear in real time within the Virtual Event App. Doing this will give you the ability to gather feedback that can be utilized for future events. Feedback can also be shared with your speakers post-session as well!
1. Creating and Connecting Feedback Surveys to Sessions
Creating a Feedback Survey:
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Advanced > Custom Forms
- Above the custom forms table, select Create
- Under the Category field, select General Survey
- Select the Add Question button and choose a question you would like to add from the list
- Select Save Changes
Connecting a Feedback Survey:
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Sessions > Sessions
- Select a session you would like to adjust from the list
- In the session editor form, navigate to Event App Settings > Feedback Survey
- Select the feedback survey you would like to add to the session from the list
- Select Save Changes
- Quick Tip - You can use the same feedback survey for multiple sessions
Adding a Feedback Cut-off Date:
A cut-off date is an additional setting that can be assigned to the session’s feedback survey. Once this date has passed, attendees will no longer be able to fill out the survey.
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Sessions > Sessions
- Select a session you would like to adjust from the list
- In the session editor form, navigate to Event App Settings > Feedback Cut-off Date
- Select the feedback survey you would like to add to the session from the list
- Select Save Changes
Bulk-Assigning Feedback Surveys:
There are instances where you may want to have the same feedback survey utilized for multiple sessions. Instead of manually assigning each survey to each session, you have the option to assign these surveys to sessions in bulk.
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Sessions > Sessions
- Select multiple sessions that you would like to adjust from the list
- Above the sessions table, select Actions > Edit
- In the sessions editor form, navigate to Virtual Event Settings
- Toggle on the Feedback Survey - Event App Only checkbox
- Select the feedback survey you would like to bulk-assign from the list
- Select Save Changes
2. Testing Session Feedback Surveys in the Virtual Event App
To know if your feedback surveys are properly showing up and work as intended, you have the option to test these surveys in your created sessions prior to the event start date.
- From the Mobile Event App, navigate to the top left hand side and select the three line icon to open the Navigation Menu
- In the left hand side Navigation Menu select Schedule
- Select the session you want to leave feedback for from the list
- At the bottom of the session, select Feedback
3. Accessing Data from Feedback Surveys
Granting the option for feedback is just as important as gathering the information once the sessions are complete. You have the ability to obtain the data from the feedback survey from a custom report you can generate and download all in one place.
Creating a Custom Report for the Feedback Survey:
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Data & Reports > Custom Reports
- Above the custom reports table, select Create
- Under the Report Type field, select Session Feedback
- Under the Fields field, select the fields you would like to retrieve from the list
- Selecting the Form field will allow you to see which feedback surveys are connected to the session.
- Under the Session field, select the session connected to the feedback survey
- Select Save Changes
Generating and Downloading the Custom Report:
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Data & Reports > Custom Reports
- Select the custom report you would like to generate from the list
- Above the custom reports table, select Actions > Generate Report
- Select the Download Previous Report button beside the custom report once it becomes available
