Setting up Attendee Matchmaking in the Event App and Virtual Portal
Attendee Matchmaking is a great tool from PheedLoop where you can get your attendees to interact with each other and further push networking at your event. Similarly to a matchmaking system, attendees will be able to fill out a survey and depending on their answers, they will be matched with other attendees who have similar responses.
Creating a Matchmaking Survey
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Advanced > Custom Forms
- Above the custom forms table, select Create
- Under Category, select Matchmaking Survey
- Select Add Question, choose the question affiliated with the survey
- Once you add a question, you can create multiple questions depending on the accuracy of the matchmaking survey.
- Select Save Changes
After you create a Matchmaking Survey form, there is no need to attach this custom form to any section in the Event Dashboard, it automatically activates the matchmaking feature right away.
How to Access Matchmaking
The Attendee Matchmaking feature can be found in both the Mobile Event App as well as the Virtual Event Portal.
Matchmaking in the Mobile Event App
- From the Mobile Event App, navigate to the left hand side navigation menu
- Select Matchmaking
- Fill out the Matchmaking Survey that was previously created
Once you submit the responses for the Matchmaking Survey, a list of attendees will appear who have also submitted responses along with the percentage of a match between them. The more similar you answer a set of questions, the higher the percentage match!
Additionally, every attendee is able to retake the survey as many times as they would like.
Matchmaking in the Virtual Event Portal
- From the Virtual Event Portal, navigate to Networking
- Select Matches > Matchmaking Survey
- Fill out the Matchmaking Survey that was previously created
- Select Submit
Once you submit the responses for the Matchmaking Survey, a list of attendees will appear who have also submitted responses along with the percentage of a match between them.
