Attendee Scanning in the Event App

Please note use of this feature requires the Advanced Networking Power-Up

As part of the On-Site experience, the PheedLoop Go! App offers attendee to attendee scanning capabilities. If a participant establishes a favorable connection with another attendee, they may utilize badge scanning to exchange their respective profiles.

For privacy reasons, no contact information such as phone number, email address, etc. is exchanged in this process. The only information that will appear is the attendee profile in the event app.

To scan Attendee Badges

  1. From the PheedLoop Go! App, navigate to Attendees
  2. Select Scanner
  3. Scan the badge of the attendee
    1. Alternatively you can scan their e-badge in the event app for the same result.

A success message will be displayed informing the user that the badge has been scanned successfully. Scanned attendees can be found in the My Scans tab in the Attendees page. This is a convenient way to see all of your scanned attendees in one spot.

Attendee Badge Scanning works even if the device is not connected to WiFi. The information will be stored in the device until it is reconnected to the internet where it will be synced automatically.

Another way to scan attendees is through the universal scanner feature that is present in the homepage for all Events. For more information on this feature, please review our Using the Universal Scanner in PheedLoop Go! article.
