Customizing the Event Website's Design and Theme
One of the customizable options PheedLoop offers is the ability to change the colors of any front facing portal, including the Event Website, Mobile App, and Virtual Website. Once the hexadecimal value is changed, the color will show up on the relevant portals.
What is a Hexadecimal Value?
Hexadecimal values are a format in HTML that are used to identify color. For example, the hex value for the color white is #FFFFFF. By using these values, event organizers can customize the color of their event website to better represent their company or according to their personal preference.
Changing the Color from the Event Dashboard
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to General > Design
- Under Primary Color, change the color as desired
- Under Secondary Color, change the color as desired
- Select Save Changes
The color will now be updated throughout all portals. The sole exception is the Event Website which requires a different set of instructions as shown below.
Changing the Color of the Event Website
Unlike other portals, the Event Website has a different setting for changing colors.
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Experiences > Website > Settings
- Scroll down to Theme
- Determine which color you would like to change
- Primary Color - This is the most noticeable change in the Event Website and changes things like headers and footers.
- Heading Text Color - This changes the color for titles in the Event Website. This field will contain all header text.
- Body Text Color - This changes the color of text throughout the Event Website. Please note, this does not change the text in the header or subtitles.
- Text Color on Primary Background - This changes the color of text in the Home Carousel section as well as the text in the header. This will also change the color of some buttons as well the text on any Meet Our sections.
- Card Background Color - This changes the color of cards in the Event Website such as Exhibitors Directory and Blogs page.
- Enter the hex value you would like to use for each option
- Select Save Changes
Changing the Border Radius of the Event Website
The curvature of cards in the Event Website can be customized as desired. For things to work, ‘px’ will need to be attached to the end of the number. For example, 8px would work while simply typing 8 will not.
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Experiences > Website > Settings
- Scroll down to Theme
- Edit the following fields as necessary
- Border Radius - This edits the curvature of large cards in the Event Website.
- Small Border Radius - This edits the curvature of small buttons in the Event Website such as the Register Now button and the session download buttons if enabled in the Event Dashboard.
- Add a numerical value followed by px in the relevant fields
- Select Save Changes
How to Create a Background Image with Home Carousel
The Event Website offers an optional background image for your event. If there is no background image, the home page will display the Primary Color for your Event Website. If the Home Carousel section has a color selected in Background Color, that field will override the Primary Color.
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Experiences > Event Website > Sections
- Select Home Carousel under the Sections column
- Scroll down to Additional Settings
- Under Background Image, select Choose File to upload your background image
- Select Save Changes
Hiding the Website, Header, Footer, and Event Logo
The Event Website, along with the header, footer, and event logo on the top left corner, can be hidden on the Event Dashboard.
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Experiences > Website > Settings
- Scroll down to General Settings
- Toggle off the Website Enabled checkbox to prevent the website from being accessible
- Toggle on the Hide Event Logo checkbox to hide the Event Logo on the top left corner of the Event Website
- Toggle on the Hide Website Header checkbox to remove the header in the Event Website
- Toggle on the Hide Website Footer checkbox to remove the footer in the Event Website
- Select Save Changes
