Reassigning Memberships as an Organization Manager

Members in any organization under PheedLoop can reassign their membership to another member if necessary. The Membership will appear in both member portals for the original and new owner.

The new owner will not be able to transfer Memberships that were assigned to them. They will only be able to download the certificate and send a copy to their email. If the Membership is unassigned from the new owner, the Membership will no longer appear in their Member Portal. The Membership will still appear in the Original Owner’s Member Portal.

Reassigning a Membership from the Member Portal

  1. From the Member Portal, navigate to Membership
  2. Select the checkbox of the Membership you wish to transfer
  3. Under the Membership section, select Actions > Assign Membership
    1. Under the First Name field, enter the first name of the new owner.
    2. Under the Last Name field, enter the last name of the new owner.
    3. Under the Email field, enter the email of the new owner. Please ensure the email matches their PheedLoop account.
    4. Under the Organization field, enter the organization the new owner belongs to.
    5. Under the Title field, enter the title of the new owner.
  4. Select Assign

Unassigning Memberships from the Member Portal

Memberships can also be unassigned with no owner in mind. This is ideal for removing a membership without transferring the Membership to someone else. The original owner will still be able to view the Membership in their Member Portal.

  1. From the Member Portal, navigate to Membership
  2. Select the Membership you wish to transfer
  3. Under the Membership section, select Actions > Unassign Membership

The Membership will now be unassigned from the Member Portal. The decision can be reassigned at any time from the Member Portal by following the steps under Reassigning a Membership from the Member Portal.

Reassigning Memberships from the Membership Dashboard

Memberships can be reassigned from the Membership Dashboard by Organization Administrators if needed. This is usually done if the organization does not wish to give members permission to reassign memberships.

  1. From the Membership Dashboard, navigate to Memberships > Memberships
  2. Select the checkbox of the Membership you wish to reassign
  3. Above the Memberships table, select Actions > Assign Membership
  4. Under the Membership Holder field, select the Member you wish to assign the membership to
  5. Select Assign Membership

The membership will now be assigned to the member.

Sending and Downloading Certificates from the Member Portal

The certificate of the membership can be downloaded or sent to the email of the owner. Certificates will display the name of the Member and an acknowledgement that they own an active membership with the organization.

  1. From the Member Portal, navigate to Membership
  2. Select the Membership you wish to transfer
  3. Under the Membership section, select Actions > Send Certificate or Download Certificate
    1. Select Send Certificate to send a pdf file of the certificate to the email of the owner.
    2. Select Download Certificate to download a pdf file of the certificate onto your device.
