Creating Organizations in the Membership Dashboard
One of the features of the Membership Dashboard is the option to create and organize unique organizations for Members to use. Doing so gives Members the option to select a pre-existing organization during the signup process (this option can be disabled in the Membership Dashboard).
Selecting Organizations from a pre-filled list
Part of the Membership Signup process requires the Member to fill in their organization. Depending on the purposes of the Administrator, they can choose to have members type in their organization or pick from a pre-approved list.
- From the Membership Dashboard, navigate to Membership > Settings
- Scroll down to Advanced Options
- Toggle on the Use Pre-Filled Organization List checkbox
- Select Save Changes
How to Create Organizations
- From the Membership Dashboard, navigate to Organizations > Organizations
- Above the Organizations table, select Create
You will now be taken to the Organization Editor Form where you can create your organization.
Details
Name - Enter the name for the organization under this field.
Internal Code - The Internal Code is used within the team. Enter any code that your team may need to accurately track your list of organizations.
Tax - Enter the tax percentage for members to pay along with the initial price under this field.
Managers - This field is used to designate the Managers in charge of the created organization.
Address Information
Address Line 1 - Enter the primary address of the organization under this field.
Address Line 2 - If your organization has a secondary address, enter it under this field.
Choose a country - Enter the country the organization belongs to under this field.
Address State - Enter the state or province the organization belongs to under this field.
Address City - Enter the city the organization belongs to under this field.
Zip/Postal Code - Enter the postal code for the organization under this field.
Address Phone - Enter the phone number for the organization under this field.
Media Links
Website URL - Enter the URL for the organization under this field
Advanced
Notes - Enter any notes you may have for the organization under this field. Notes will only appear in the Membership Dashboard and are not visible by Organization Members.
Bulk uploading Organizations
For convenience, multiple organizations can be uploaded into the Membership Dashboard as a spreadsheet.
- From the Membership Dashboard, navigate to Organizations > Organizations
- Above the Organizations table, select the upload icon on the top right
- Select Download Template
A xlsx file will now be downloaded onto your device. Open the file with any spreadsheet program and fill in the information outlined above. Please note, the code field must be left blank for the upload to work.
Once done, you can now upload the file by selecting the Drag and drop some files here, or click to select files field.
Deleting Organizations
Organizations can be deleted if no longer needed.
- From the Membership Dashboard, navigate to Organizations > Organizations
- Select the checkbox of the organization you wish to remove
- Above the Organization table, select Actions > Delete
- Select Confirm
