My Session Won't Appear On PheedLoop
If your session does not appear in the Virtual Portal, this may be happening due to the following reasons:
Session is hidden in the Virtual Portal, Event Website, or PheedLoop Go!
The most obvious reason is the Hide Session in Virtual Event Portal, Hide Session in Website, or Hide Session in Event Application checkbox being enabled. If this is the case, toggling off the checkbox should resolve this issue.
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Sessions > Sessions
- Select the session that is not appearing
- Scroll down to Options
- Ensure the Hide Session in Virtual Event Portal checkbox is toggled off
- Ensure the Hide Session in Website checkbox is toggled off
- Ensure the Hide Session in Event Application checkbox is toggled off
- Select Save Changes
Session is a sub-session
By default, sub-sessions are hidden from view in the Virtual Portal, PheedLoop Go!, and the Event Website. The session will need to be unassigned as a sub-session in order for it to appear.
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Sessions > Sessions
- Select the parent session of the sub-session
- Scroll down to Other Details
- Under the Sub-Sessions field, remove the session you wish to display
- Select Save Changes
The session will now be displayed on the front end portals for attendees
Session is a "simple" session
Your session may be designated as a “simple” session. Simple sessions will not appear in the sessions page. This is no way to display a simple session publically. The only way to display this session is if it’s no longer designated as a simple session.
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Sessions > Sessions
- Select the session that is not appearing
- Scroll down to Advanced Settings
- Toggle off the Simple Sessions checkbox
- Select Save Changes
Session has no date+time set
Sessions without a date or time set will be displayed at the bottom of the sessions listing in the Virtual Portal and Event Website. By default, the Virtual Portal and Event Website displays the sessions on the earliest date at the top of the page and the latest dates on the bottom. Simply assign a date and time to your session to have it appear in its proper place. Please note that both the start time and end time must be filled out in order for the session to appear.
Please note, sessions without a date and time will not appear in PheedLoop Go! Both a date and time is required for the session to appear in the Event App.
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Sessions > Sessions
- Select the session that is not appearing
- Under the Date field, enter the date the session will take place on
- Under the Start Time field, enter the time the session will take place on
- Under the End TIme field, enter the time the session will conclude on
- Select Save Changes
Session is a "channel" session
If your session has the Channel Session checkbox toggled on, the session will be displayed on the Channel page and not the Sessions page. If you would like to move the session back to the sessions page, simply untoggle the Channel Session checkbox.
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Sessions > Sessions
- Select the session that is not appearing
- Scroll down to Virtual Settings
- Toggle off the Channel Session checkbox
- Select Save Changes
