Setting up Industries for Exhibitors

Industries are group headers used to organize products and services that exhibitors choose from in the Exhibitor Portal. By grouping products and services together, the services become easier to visualize for both exhibitors and attendees who are looking for the best services to suit their needs.

Before exhibitors can select their services, Event Administrators will need to create the industries the services belong to and group them. Creating Industries

Industries without services assigned to them will not appear in the Exhibitor Portal.

1. From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Exhibitors > Industries
2. Above the Industries table, select Create
3. Under the Name field, enter the name of the industry
4. Select Save Changes

Assigning Industries to Services

Once your industries have been created, you can now assign services to them.

1. From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Exhibitors > Services
2. Select the service you wish to adjust
3. Under the Industry field, select the industry to assign the service to
4. Select Save Changes

Please note the instructions for service selection are slightly different when not using industries. For instructions when not using industries, please review our Setting up Smart Exhibitor Matchmaking in the Event App article.

1. From the Exhibitor Portal, navigate to Profile
2. Scroll down to Services
3. Under the Filter by industry… field, select the industry you wish to view
   1. If you wish to reset the filters, select the X icon to the right of the field.
4. Toggle on the checkbox if you want the service to appear on the Exhibitors page in the Mobile Event App
5. Toggle off the checkbox if you want the service to not be visible on the Exhibitors page in the Mobile Event App
6. Select Save Changes

Re-Ordering Industries in the Exhibitor Portal

The order the industries appear in the Exhibitor Portal are rearrangeable in the Event Dashboard.

1. From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Exhibitors > Industries
2. Above the Industries table, select Actions > Re-Order
3. Rearrange the industries in your preferred order
4. Select Save
