How can I organize my long ticket list to make it more comprehensive for registrants?

It is common for events to offer a plethora of ticket options for their attendees. It is important that your event’s registration is organized and comprehensive so that registrants can find and identify the tickets they’d like to purchase quickly and efficiently.

PheedLoop’s Sub-Category functionality allows you to further organize your tickets at the ticket selection step of the registration process. This way, registrants will be able to select from sub-category tabs that group like tickets together.

Step 1: Create Sub-Categories

The first step to organizing your tickets is to create your sub-categories. 

  1. From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Registrations > Tickets and select a ticket

  1. Scroll down to Connections, and under the Sub-Categories field, select Manage

  1. Under the Title field, enter the name for the sub-category
  2. Under the Purchase Limit field, enter the number of tickets purchasable within this subcategory per registration
  3. Toggle on the Purchase Required checkbox to require at least one ticket be purchased from this sub-category before a registrant can check out
    1. This would be required on, if you need a registrant to have at least one ticket from this subcategory to check out.
  4. Under Actions, select Save
    1. If you would like to remove a sub category, select Delete

Repeat this process until you have all of the sub-categories created. 

Step 2: Assigning Tickets to Sub-Categories

  1. In the ticket editor form, navigate to Connections
  2. Under Sub-Categories, select the sub-category you created
  3. Select Save Changes

Please note: if a Ticket is not assigned to a customized sub-category, it will be listed under a default “General” sub-category. 

Step 3: Testing Sub-Categories

  1. From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Event Portals > Event Website

  1. From the Event Website, navigate to Register Now

  1. Proceed through the registration process until you land at tickets
  2. Under the Tickets step, select the Sub-Category you assigned to the right of General
  3. Select the tickets designated under the Sub-Category
  4. Select Continue
