Using Contact Tags for Membership Management
Contact Tags allow you to sort and organize members across your organization. Contact Tags only appear in the Membership Dashboard and are not visible to front end portals like the Member Portal and Event App.
Creating Contact Tags from the Membership Dashboard
- From the Membership Dashboard, navigate to Contacts > Tags and above the Contact Tags table, select Create
- Under the Name field, enter the name of the Contact Tag
- Select Save Changes
The Contact Tag will now be created on your Membership Dashboard. Repeat the process until all tags have been created.
Assigning Contact Tags from the Membership Dashboard
Once your Contact Tags have been created, you can now assign them to members within the Membership Dashboard.
- From the Membership Dashboard, navigate to Contacts > Profiles and select the member you wish to adjust from the list
- Scroll down to Personal Details
- Under the Contact Tags field, select the Contact Tags to apply to the member
- Select Save Changes
Using Contact Tags Exclusions/Requirements for Event Registration
Using Contact Tags for Registration Categories
Contact Tags can be used to restrict or exclude members with said contact tag from registering for events.
Contact tags are configured on a per category basis.
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Registration > Categories and select the category from the list
- Under the Contact Tag Exclusions field, select the contact tags to prevent attendees from registering under the category
- If a member has at least one of the Contact Tags in their PheedLoop profile, they will not be able to register for the category.
- Under the Contact Tag Requirements field, select the contact tags required for attendees to register under the category
- If a member has at least one of the selected Contact Tags in their PheedLoop profile, they will be able to register for the category. If the member does not have the required Contact Tag, they will not be able to register under the category.
- Select Save Changes
Using Contact Tags for Registration Tickets
Contact Tags can also be used for Ticket Types with the same functionality as in Registration Categories. Tickets can be configured to restrict or exclude members with said Contact Tags from purchasing the ticket. Multiple Tickets can be edited simultaneously for convenience.
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Registration > Tickets and select the ticket from the list
- Scroll down to Connections
- Under the Contact Tags field, select the Contact Tags required for members to purchase this ticket
- This ticket will not be viewable to members without the prerequisite Contact Tags.
- Under the Contact Tags Exclusions field, select the Contact Tags to exclude members with said Contact Tags from purchasing the ticket
- This ticket will not be viewable to members with the prerequisite Contact Tags.
- Select Save Changes
Bulk Editing Contact Tags on Tickets
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Registration > Tickets and select check all button
- Above the Tickets table, select Actions > Edit
- Scroll down to Add Connections
- Select the checkbox for the Contact Tags field
- If you would like to use exclusions instead, select Contact Tags Exclusions
- Select the Contact Tags under the Contact Tags or Contact Tag Exclusions field
- Select Save Changes
