How to Assist Attendees with Password and Login to PheedLoop Go!
Please note, logins will expire after 72 hours of inactivity.
A somewhat common issue your attendees may face is logging into one of your attendee facing portals, for example, the virtual event portal or the event app. This is almost certainly due to user error, and easy to support your attendees with.
Resetting an Attendee’s Password
The simplest solution for attendees facing login issues is to manually reset their password from the Event Dashboard.
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Attendees > Attendees
- Select the Attendee you wish to reset
- Select Reset Password
- Select Confirm
The attendee will now receive an email which they can use to reset their password.
PheedLoop also generates a temporary password for attendees, which can be shared as an alternative login option if they are unable to use their usual password.
Further Troubleshooting
An attendee's login issue depends on the specific error message they receive. Whether they're facing an incorrect password, account lockout due to multiple failed attempts, or another issue, identifying the error will help determine the best solution.
Sorry, looks like your email address or password password combination are incorrect
For attendees, this issue typically stems from the password being copied incorrectly. Ensure their password is being entered precisely. Sometimes attendees copy in extra spaces if they are copy/pasting the password into the field from an email, or if they are typing it in manually they get some characters wrong. If you are absolutely certain the password you are entering is exactly what was sent to you, please use the Forgot Your Password button An email with a verification code will be sent, enter that verification code to reset your password.
We could not find an account with that email address.
The most common cause for this issue is that the attendee’s email address was spelt incorrectly during registration. When an attendee attempts to login with their regular email, then this issue occurs. To resolve this, an Event Administrator will need to change the attendee’s email to the proper address.
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Attendees > Attendees
- Above the Attendees table, select Create
- Under the Email field, enter the proper email address for the attendee
- Under the First Name field, enter the first name of the attendee
- Under the Last Name field, enter the last name of the attendee
- Select Save Changes
