Using iMIS with PheedLoop

Please note, use of this feature requires iMIS SSO integration to be included in your organization’s contract. This is a paid feature, for pricing information, please reach out to sales@pheedloop.com for more information.

iMIS is one of the many single sign-on integrations we support at PheedLoop. For organizations that make use of iMIS, the key advantage to this integration is the ability to login with their iMIS account.

Please note, PheedLoop Go! and PheedLoop OnSite! do not support SSO integrations.

Step 1) Setting up the client-application in iMIS

For a complete understanding of this process, we recommend reviewing the iMIS guide for more information.

To add the third-party client application to iMIS, do the following:

  1. Go to Settings > Contacts > Client applications.
  2. Select Add client application.
  3. Enter the Client ID. This can be any name you choose. The name is recommended to reference PheedLoop. This name cannot be edited after the client application is saved.
  4. Enter the Client secret. The Client secret is used to authenticate the application's identity to iMIS upon an access token request and should not be publicly shared.
  5. In the Refresh token lifetime (minutes) field, enter the expiration value of newly generated refresh tokens. The maximum allowed value is 60 and can be invalidated earlier when the cache is cleared. An input of 30 is recommended.
  6. Enter the Login redirect URL. This is the link to PheedLoop’s application, where the user will be redirected.
    1. Input https://pheedloop.com/organization/{organizationCode}/imis/redirect/
    2. You can access your organization code by logging into dash.pheedloop.com and copying the 18 digit alphanumeric organization code in the URL. For example, ORGXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, which would populate as https://pheedloop.com/organization/ORGXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX/imis/redirect/
  7. Select Save

Step 2) Add the client-application redirect to a page

The next step is to set up your client application to redirect to an external page. This step is necessary in order for users to be redirected when logging in via PheedLoop. Please refer to the iMIS guide for exact instructions on this step.

Please note that when completing this step, the preconfigured security on the Access Settings tab must be set to Authenticated Users Full Control. This step is important for iMIS to function within PheedLoop.

Step 3) Connecting to iMIS
