Showing Socials in the Virtual Portal

With the Event Dashboard, you can easily display curated social media content and manage attendee interactions through Curator and the Event Feed. This content is displayed in the Lobby section of the Virtual Portal.

This guide walks you through enabling Curator content, configuring social media widgets, and managing the Event Feed to ensure a seamless and interactive experience for your attendees. Follow the steps below to display curated social content, activate event feeds, and enable moderation for attendee posts.

Displaying Curator Content

Please note, we recommend reviewing our Integrating the Curator Social Media Feed into the Event App or Virtual Portal article for complete instructions on Curator. This section assumes you have Curator set up and ready to use.

Curator content can be displayed as long as the Curator Social Feed Public Key is configured in the Event Dashboard.

  1. From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Experiences > Virtual > Settings
  2. Scroll down to Other Options
  3. Under the Curator.io Social Feed Public Key field, enter your Social Feed Public Key
  4. Select Save Changes

As long as the Curator.io Social Feed Public Key field is populated, the Social Wall will be visible in the Virtual Portal.

Quick Tip - If you would like to have the Curator feed displayed by default over the Event Feed, toggle on the Show Social Wall by Default checkbox under Experiences > Virtual > Settings > Other Options.
