Setting Up Early Bird Tickets

Early bird tickets are designed to be sold ahead of an event’s registration period for Attendees to purchase. Typically, organizations offer some sort of benefit to purchasing such as special discounts or privileges for use throughout the event.

With PheedLoop, Event Administrators can easily achieve the same result by creating two duplicates of the same ticket and naming one of them as the Early Bird Ticket. The Early Bird Ticket can then be sold ahead of the Registration Period and conclude before the regular tickets become available.

Creating a Ticket

To create an early bird ticket it would be required for you to create two copies of the same ticket, with different price points for each.

  1. From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Registration > Tickets
  2. Above the Tickets table, select Create
  3. Toggle on the Activate Ticket checkbox
    1. It is fine to keep this on even if the ticket is not ready to be sold yet as we will be setting up the Ticket Sale Start and End Dates.
  4. Under the Name field, enter the name of the ticket
    1. We recommend naming your ticket “Early Bird” along with your ticket name to clearly identify their status.
  5. Under the Registration Category field, enter the category for the ticket
  6. Under the Price field, enter the cost of the ticket
  7. Scroll down to the Other Details section
  8. Under the Ticket Sale Start Date enter the date that the ticket will become available
  9. Under the Ticket Sale End Date enter the date that the ticket will no longer be available
  10. Under the Start Time enter the time that the ticket will become available
  11. Under the End Time enter the time that the ticket will no longer be available
  12. Select Save Changes

Repeat the steps above for the second ticket. Once configured, your tickets will become available for purchase on the designated dates under the Ticket Sale Start Date and Ticket Sale End Date fields.
