How can I label and sort Attendees based on registration purchases?

A key component of organized event management is being able to label, segment, and sort attendees based on registration purchases. PheedLoop’s Connected Tag functionality ensures that attendees are labelled immediately upon registration so that you can easily manage them later in the event planning process.

Step 1: Creating Attendee Tags

The first step to using Connected Tags functionality is creating your tags. Tags are a fantastic way to manage your attendee management experience. Many PheedLoop features require the use of tags such as Gamification and Badge Scanning.

By creating and assigning these tags, Event Administrators and Team Members can organize and control which features attendees have access to, as well as target communications.

To create your tags: 

1. From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Attendees > Tags and above the Tags table, select Create

2. Under the Name Field, enter a name for your tag.
3. Under the Description field, enter an explanation for your tag. This description will only appear in the Event Dashboard and is useful for keeping team members informed.
4. Under the Color field enter a hex code value for the color of your tag. Colors are displayed in the Event App and Virtual Portal.
5. Select Save Changes

Step 2: Assigning Tags to Attendees

Now that tags have been created, you can connect them to your desired tickets or registration categories.

Connecting Tags to Tickets: 

1. From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Registration > Tickets and select the desired ticket

2. Scroll down to Connections and add the desired tag(s) in the Connected Tags field 
   1. Any ticket holders who purchase this ticket will be tagged according to the connected tag(s). 
3. Select Save Changes

Connecting Tags to Registration Categories: 

1. From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Registration > Categories and select the desired category

2. Scroll down to Basic Settings add the desired tag(s) in the Connected Tags field
   1. Any ticket holders who purchase from this category will be tagged according to the connected tag(s). 
3. Select Save Changes

Quick Tip

Connected Tags are not retroactive, meaning that it is important that if you intend to use PheedLoop’s Connected Tags functionality for registration, that you configure the above before you launch registration.
