Reviewing Analytics for Virtual Events
Analytics are one of the most important pieces of information for events, and PheedLoop offers extensive coverage of page visitors, duration of stay, and many more.
In this article, we will cover the most common reports customers use to track attendees for the Virtual Event Portal including:
- Exhibitor Virtual Attendance Report
- Session Virtual Attendance Report
- Exhibitor Chat Data Report
- Session Chat Data Report
We recommend using this in conjunction with our SmartSight system to have accompanying graphics to go along with your data. SmartSight is important for time based analytics in particular.
Accessing Custom Reports
Custom Reports are a powerful tool for tracking attendee activity in the Virtual Portal such as what sessions or exhibitor booths are being visited.
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Data & Reports > Custom Reports
- Above the Custom Reports table, select Create
- Under the Report Type field, select any of the reports mentioned below
- Under the Name field, enter a name for your report
- Under the Description field, enter a description for your report
- Under the Fields field, select the fields for the report to include
- Under the Start Date field, enter the date to begin drawing data from
- Under the End Date field, enter the date to stop drawing data from
You will now see the custom reports form which you can use to create custom reports. Under the Report Type field, we recommend choosing the following for finding information related to tracking your Virtual Event.
Exhibitor Virtual Attendance Report
The Exhibitor Virtual Attendance report will keep track of everyone that has clicked into an Exhibitor’s profile page. Under the Fields field, we recommend including the following:
- Last Visit
- This represents when they were last seen inside of the exhibitor booth.
- Time in Virtual Booth (s)
- This represents the amount of time spent in the virtual booth. Please note, Advanced SmartSight is required to use this field.
- Attendee - Full Name
- The first and last name of the Attendee. Please note, Attendee - First Name and Attendee - Last Name fields are available for ease.
- Attendee - Email
- The email of the attendee.
- Exhibitor - Name
- The name of the exhibitor.
Under the Exhibitors field, select the exhibitors you would like to limit this to. Leave this field blank to include all exhibitors in this report.
Session Virtual Attendance Report
The Virtual Session Attendance report keeps track of everyone who has ever clicked into a session. Under the Fields field, we recommend including the following:
- Last Visit
- This represents the last time and date the attendee clicked into the session.
- Time in Session (s)
- This represents the amount of time spent in the virtual booth. Please note, Advanced SmartSight is required to use this field.
- Attendee - Full Name
- The first and last name of the Attendee. Please note, Attendee - First Name and Attendee - Last Name fields are available for ease.
- Attendee - Email
- The email of the attendee.
- Session - Name
- The name of the session.
Under the Session field, select the session you would like to limit this to. Leave this field blank to include all sessions in this report.
Exhibitor Chat Data Report
The Exhibitor Chat report will pull up all messages posted on the public Exhibitor chat in the Virtual Portal. Under the Fields field, we recommend including the following:
- Text
- This pulls the messages between attendees and exhibitors
- Exhibitor
- The name of the Exhibitor
- Time
- This pulls the date and time the message was sent
- Attendee - Full Name
- The first and last name of the Attendee. Please note, Attendee - First Name and Attendee - Last Name fields are available for ease.
Under the Exhibitors field, select the exhibitors you would like to limit this to. Leave this field blank to include all exhibitors in this report.
Session Chat Data Report
The Session Chat Data report will gather all messages attendees have made in the session's public chat on the right hand side of the virtual portal.
Under the Fields field, we recommend including the following:
- Text
- This pulls the messages sent in the session chat
- Session
- The name of the session
- Time
- This pulls the date and time the message was sent
- Attendee - Full Name
- The first and last name of the Attendee. Please note, Attendee - First Name and Attendee - Last Name fields are available for ease.
Under the Session field, select the session you would like to limit this to. Leave this field blank to include all sessions in this report.
