Using Pronouns in PheedLoop
PheedLoop offers the use of pronouns for attendees and event staff. Pronouns can be included either from PheedLoop’s various front end portals or directly in the Event Dashboard. The most popular use for pronouns is for attendee badges. When included in the Badge Label Designer, pronouns become one of the many information fields available for display.
Assigning pronouns to Attendees
Pronouns can be assigned manually in the Event Dashboard to attendees. This step is necessary to include pronouns for badge printing.
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Attendees > Attendees
- Select the attendee you wish to edit from the list
- Scroll down to Personal Details
- Under the Pronouns field, enter the pronouns for the attendee
- Select Save Changes
Pronouns can be uploaded in bulk for convenience. For instructions on how to upload pronouns, along with other attendee information, please review our Importing Attendees into an Event article.
Attendees also have the option to assign pronouns from the Member Portal:
- From the Member Portal navigate to Profile
- Under the Pronouns field, enter the pronouns for the attendee
- Select Save Changes
Adding Pronouns into Attendee Badges
Please note, the OnSite Check-In power-up is necessary to use this feature.
Once attendees have entered their pronouns, they can now be included as part of the attendee badge.
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to OnSite > Badges & Printers > Badge Label Designer
- Select Edit next to the template you wish to edit
- If you have not set up any templates yet, please review our Setting Up Your Badge Label Template for On-site Badge Printing article for instructions.
- On the left hand side, select Field Menu
- Select Pronouns
- Drag the field in your desired spot in the template
- Select File > Save
The pronouns within the Attendee’s profile will now be displayed when printing. Pronouns can also be included as a Custom Text Field. This field is perfect for including a positive message along with introducing the attendee’s pronouns.
- From the Event Dashboard, navigate to OnSite > Badges & Printers > Badge Label Designer
- Select Edit next to the template you wish to edit
- On the left hand side, select Field Menu
- Select Custom Text Field
- Select the Custom Text Field on the template
- Under the Text field, use this field to edit the text
- Under the Font Size field, enter the size of the font
- 20 is the default size
- Toggle on the Invert Text checkbox to overturn the text
- This setting is typically used for fields printed on the backend of direct thermal badges.
- Select any of the alignment options
- Under the Available Tokens. Click to insert field, select {{ pronouns }}
- Once the message is configured, drag the field to it’s appropriate position in the template
- Select FIle > Save
We recommend conducting a test preview of the badge to confirm the contents fit neatly in your badge.
