What is the Event Website?

The Event Website is what hosts your Registration process. Registrants will navigate to your Event Website to register for your event. While this article will primarily focus on registration, the Event Website also hosts information about your event, such as Session information, Speaker Profiles, and Sponsor/Exhibitor listings.

To learn more about how you can customize the content and design of your Event Website, please refer to our Getting started with the Event Website article.

For the purpose of this article, we will be focussing on how to use the Event Website to test your event’s Registration flow.

How to Access Your Event Website & Registration

Once you create your event in PheedLoop, the Event Website template is automatically built for you.

To access your Event Website:

  1. From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Event Portals > Event Website

From here, you can access your event’s Registration process:

  1. From the Event Website, select the Register Now button at the top right corner of the screen

  1. From here, you can access each step of the registration process, starting with Category selection

  1. Please review our How to Test Registration from a Registrant’s Perspective article for more information on the next steps.

How to Make Your Registration Public on the Event Website

By default, registration is accessible via the Event Website. Many events decide to publish their Event Website with key event information before they launch Registration. In this case, you don’t want website visitors to be able to access your event’s Registration before the intended period.

The easiest way to manage the above scenario is to “hide” your event Registration from the Event Website. This means that all elements of registration will be hidden from site visitors but staff can still test registration internally.

  1. From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Experiences > Event Website > Pages

  1. Select Register from the list

  1. Toggle on the Hide Page checkbox

  1. Select Save Changes

The Register Now button will now be hidden on the Event Website. Staff can still test registration with the URL.

  1. From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Experiences > Event Website > Pages

  1. Select Register from the list

  1. Above the Pages table, select Actions > View Page

Conclusion

After reviewing this article, you should now have a better understanding of what the Event Website is and how to use it to publish your event’s Registration.
