How to Test Registration from a Registrant’s Perspective

Once you have configured your Registration settings in the event dashboard, you can test your Registration process from a Registrant’s perspective. This will allow you to make tweaks to your Registration settings as desired based on user experience.

This article will walk you through how to access your Registration via the Event Website as well as how to navigate each step of the Registration process.

Accessing the Registration Process via the Event Website

The Event Website is what hosts your Registration process. Registrants will navigate to your Event Website to register for your event.

To access your Event Website:

  1. From the Event Dashboard, navigate to Event Portals > Event Website

From here, you can access your event’s Registration process:

  1. From the Event Website, select the Register Now button at the top right corner of the screen

  1. From here, you can access each step of the registration process, starting with Category selection

Testing the Registration Process

After following the above instructions, you will be taken to the registration page.

Description

Category Selection Registrants select one of the categories listed on this page. If there is only one registration category, then this step will be omitted.
Start All Default Information will be entered by the registrant in this step. Default information can be customized from the Event Dashboard. For more information, please review our Choosing what default Registration information to collect article.
Details Any custom form assigned to the registration category will appear in this step. Registrants will need to answer all required questions before proceeding. This step will not appear if there is no form assigned to the category.
Tickets Registrants can select any tickets they would like to purchase and the quantity of each. Any restrictions set in the Event Dashboard will apply here. For more information, please review our Creating your Registration Ticket Types article.
Assign After selecting the tickets, registrants will assign the tickets to all ticket holders during this step. If a ticket form has been assigned to the ticket, registrants will need to answer all required questions before proceeding. Checkout Registrants will view a summary of their purchase selections in this step and are prompted to select their payment method and process payment.
